10- END OF SEASON REVIEWS
As
seen in the Wellingborough
Town V Blackstones match day programme, this is the
Under 10's end of season review by Martin Patmore:
Wellingborough
Town Under 10’s have enjoyed continued year on year
improvement and completed their final year of mini soccer.
I
hope the boys have enjoyed their introduction to football
and are looking forward to their first year in competitive
football, both league and cup, next season.
All
though mini soccer in ‘non competitive’ in
that all games are classed as friendly's, it is very encouraging
to see the results improving year on year.

Every
single player has put in a tremendous effort this season,
in which ever position they have played. It has been extremely
difficult to pick out a single player as the boys have,
for the first time, played extremely well as a team.
Joseph
Core – GK: Great shot stopper, absolutely
fearless.
6 clean sheets
Brady
Cole – Def: Excellent positioning, strong
in the tackle. Likes a Hoooof
1 Goal
Charlie
Stewart – Def: Strong defender who likes
to get forward. Has Great shot from distance.
5 Goals
Ben
Tuthil – Mid: Skilful dribbler with lots
of tricks. Found his shooting boots this season.
7 Goals
Jack
Patmore – Mid: Powerful Midfielder / Forward.
Best header in team.
16 Goals
Ijuha
Sterling – Mid: Skilful midfielder with
a magic first touch. Thought he was Dida when he deputised
in goal.
19 Goals
Ryan
Betts – For: Fast and skilful forward.
Chipped in with a few goals after joining us mid season.
10 Goals
Matthew
Percival – GK/Def/Mid: Plays anywhere he
is asked. Unlucky with injuries this season.
3 Goals
Matthew
Howe – Def: Calm and composed defender.
Good touch and pass.
2 Goals
Zak
Becker – Mid: Tricky midfielder, good first

I
would like to take the opportunity to thank all of the
parents, grand parents and other supporters for for their
tremendous support of the team.
I
would also like to thank Terry for all of the help that
he has offered to me over the last two seasons. Without
Terry’s help it would have been extremely difficult
for me to coach the players from the side line.
Finally
I would like to thank Steve Whitney for the wonderful
job he has done in driving the Youth Section of Wellingborough
Town forward.
Stepping
up to next season, we will be playing 11 A Side which
means we will ideally require a squad of around 16 players.
