UNDER 17- END OF SEASON REVIEWS

As seen in the Wellingborough Town V Blackstones match day programme, this is the Under 17's end of season review by Paul Hamblin:

Wellingborough Town Under 17s played in the County wide Under18s League this season, The League comprised of Eight Teams from last years League and Severn new Teams one of which was Wellingborough. At the time of preparing this report we are currently 6 in the League with 2 games in hand a top 4 finish is a realistic aim for this year.

Players

Christian Tansley GK... Christian is a brave shot stopper with excellent reaction saves who is the joker in the team.

Scott Gavercoll.. Gk/Def/Mid.. Scott will play in any position asked of him, an accomplished GK equally at home in the centre of defence, strong and a leader in the team. 1 Goal.

Ali Oakenfull Def... Ali is a no nonsense defender who likes to get the ball down and play out of defence.

Ryan Lee Def... Ryan is an outstanding defender for his age, he has progressed to play regularly for the U18s and has made appearances for the Reserves.

Shane Bicknell Def.. Shane is the backbone of the team hard working and reliable he has even scored. Shane broke his nose and played on till the end of the game. 1 Goal.

John Harrison Def. John is the voice of the team he communicates to the opposition and has the ability to put players of their game. 2 Goals.

Dan Burston Def.. Dan is another outstanding defender for his age he has also progressed to the U18s playing on many occasions.

Matty Ashdown Def/Mid.. Matty is fearless despite being the smallest player on the team he is without doubt one of the bravest hard working and an excellent defender.

Aaron Blande Mid... Aaron is one of the most talented players in the team excellent ball control and is best when running at defenders. 3 Goals.

Danny Webb Mid... Dan is another of our outstanding young players who have progressed to the U18 squad. A creative attacking player with all the skills in the book. 5 Goals

Dan O'Rielly Mid.. Dan is our captain 100% work rate and effort each time he steps on the pitch Dan leads by example and never pulls out of a challenge. 10 Goals.

Dan Tyrrell Mid.. Dan is a hard working player who likes to create openings for other players.

Tom Hillyer Striker.. Tom is one of the quickest players in the league 2 good feet and a player who knows where the back of the net is. 11 Goals

Sean Hamblin Striker.. Excellent first touch and passing ability the teams top scorer, he links the play and creates Goals for players as well as scoring them. 20 Goals.

Alex Raspin Striker/Mid/ Def.. Alex is an excellent defender who plays any position required for the team a strong player with the hardest shot in the team. 3 Goals.

Darren Frazer Mid.. A hard working player with good attitude willing and keen. 1 Goal.
