Wellingborough Town 2-1 Ise Lodge Eagles
Young Doughboys via an excellent run from Liam Chowney ending in an excellent cross to allow Jack Jones to riffle his shot home from 15 yards. Ise Lodge pushed forward but the Wellingborough defence of Watts,Jones , Edwards and Griffiths kept the vistors at bay.Wellingborough created a few more good chances with Tarek Hajri goind close and also good efforts from Connor Davies and Chowney .The young Doughboys took a 1-0 lead at half time.Second half start the same with Ise Lodge pushing for and equalizer but the Wellingborough defends standing firm.The Doughboys midfield of Jack Jones and Jack Jones closed the door on Ise Lodge attacks time after time and creating some good movement them selves to link up with Chowney and Hajri to try and grap the second. A good run from Dan Thornedyke following a well placed pass to Hajri who turn his marker to riffle a cross in to the box which Lewis Hayes volleyed in from 6 yards to give Wellingborough a 2-0 lead. Ise Lodge pulled one back 10 minutes from time but Wellngborough road their luck in the last 5 minutes and hung on for a well deserved win. Well done to all the team for a well deserved win.

Wellingborough Town 3-3 Grammarians
In a fine contested match from the start by both teams with Wellingborough taking a well deserved lead via lLiam Chowney .Grammarians fought back scored almost from the kick off..Then just before half time the young Doughboys on the break scored again to go 2-1 up via Tarek Hajri. After half time Grammiarians kick off and pressured the Wellingborough back four and from a long ball caught Wellingborough cold and took the chance to make the score 2-2. Wellingborough re grouped and started to apply some good pressure but Grammarians had the better chances and after some good play they scored to go 3-2 up .Wellingborough defend's of Watts , Wade , Davies and Griffiths kept the Grammarians attackers at bay and the young Doughboy's in the game also some brillant saves from Jed Hayes as well kept Wellingborough in in it..Wellingborough then created another chance after a good movement via Jack Jones and Chowney which ended in a great pass for Hajri to take a brillant strike from 20 yards to level the scores at 3-3 with only minutes to play.The game ended in a 3-3 draw.

Wellingborough Town 3-3 Rockingham Forrest
In a fine contested match from the start by both teams with Wellingborough taking a well deserved lead via Tarek Hajri .Rockingham fought back and after a good 5 min's spell equalised to make the score 1-1.Then just before half time Rockingham on the break scored again to go 2-1 up. After half time Rockingham kicked off and from a long ball caught Wellingborough cold and took the chance to make the score 3-1. Wellingborough re grouped and started to apply some good pressure with a well deserved goal from Lewis Hayes to make the score 3-2. Rockingham kept pushing and went close on a couple of occasions .Wellingborough defender's Watts , Wade , Davies and Edwards kept the Rockingham attackers at bay and the young Doughboy's in the game.Wellingborough then created another chance after a good movement via Hayes which ended in a great cross for Hajri to level the scores. Both teams had chances to win the game but a draw was a fair result in the end.

Raunds Tigers 1-1 Wellingborough Town
On a cold frostly Sunday morning the match between Wellingborough and Raunds started fairly evenly. Both defends were in control.of the game.
After 19 mins Raunds where awarded a penalty which they scored by one after a brilliant save from Jed Hayes.
Wellingborough had the best part of the last 10 mins with Tarek Harji going close after some go inter play from Liam Chowney and Jack Jones.
Second from the off Wellingborough created chance after chance with efforts from Tarek Hajri ,Liam Chowney ,Lewis Hayes and Conner Davis.
Wellingborough levelled the score on 46th minute via a well taken goal from Tarek Hajri. Wellingborough created 3 or more chances but the final touch just evaded them.
Special mention to Matt Watts,Rhys Griffths,Kyle Edwards and Daniel Wade who denfending was outstanding today.
An outstanding team effort from both teams with the Young Doughboys just the better team on the day..

Grammarians 0-4 Wellingborough Town
On
a cold windy Sunday morning Wellingborough from the off
looked like the team that where going to take all 3 points.
Two
well taken Goals from Tarek Hajri on 12 minutes and 21
minutes gave Wellingborough a half time lead of 2-0.
Second
Half continued the same with Wellingborough creating chance
after chance and after another good team move a penalty
was given for hand ball.Hajri step up to claim his hatrick.
The
forth goal came from a well taken header by Matty Watts.The
young Doughboys played excellent in these testing conditions
with outstanding performances from JJ.Dan Wade,Matt Watts,Kyle
Edwards and Tarek Hajri.
Special
mention to the Grammarians goal keeper who pulled off
some outstanding saves.

Whitworths Youth 2-4 Wellingborough Town
A
game that has been posponed for the last few weeks final
kick off.
Whitworths
Youth started the stronger in the first half and
took a deserverd lead.
Wellingborough
Town tried to push on but Whitworths had the
better chances.Then before the break Wellingborough push
forward and though some good work from Tarek Hajri and
Liam Chowney leading to some excellent play Liam Chowney
riffled in a shot from 12 yards to bring the scores level.
This
is how the first half finished.
Second
half Whitworths started well again and took a 2-1 lead.
Wellingborough
Town pushed on and then with some excellent play down
the right hand side of the field Lewis Hayes volleyed
in from 6 yards to level the scores again.
The
next 10-15 mins of play Wellngborough controlled and created
chance after chance and again some excellent work from
Liam Chowney winning the ball back and drilling the ball
from 12 yards into the roof of the net to make the score
3-2.
Soon
after another good move from Wellingborough via Tarek
Hajri and Connor Davies with Hajri getting his reward
for his efforts and scoring with a shot from 12 yards
to take Wellingborough to 4-2 lead.
A
few more chances from Wellingborough went a miss.
The
game finished with Wellingborough taking the deserved
win.
An
excellent team peformance from all the young Doughboys

Weekley Rovers 2-3 Wellingborough Town
On
a cold Sunday morning Wellingborough Town took
on Weekly Rovers in the first round of the league cup.
Weekley Rovers started the stronger but some stern defending
from Wellingborough Town keep the score even.
Then on the break away and some good work from Tarek Hajri
and a came finish putting the doughboys one up.
Weekley continued to push forward and got the equalizer
to square it 1-1.
Second half was almost the same pattern with further goes
from each side Lewis hayes for the doughboys .
The game looked destined for extra time when Tarek Hajri
took his chance after a good move which he finished calmly
to give the tie to Wellingborough Town.
A very entertaining game with Wellingborough riding the
luck but that cup games for you as you need a bit of luck
to win.

Spinney Scorpions
In
a game which Wellingborough dominated from the first whislte
to the last whislte.
Wellingborough movement was excellent via Hajri ,Davies
,Hayes and the midfield of the two Jones .
Goal came via Davis x2,Murape x2,Jonesx2,Hayes x1,Hajri
x1 and Watts x1.
Northampton put a good effort in but Wellingborough just
control the game in all areas.
After a couple of weeks of bad performances this was like
to old team.
Well Done to the young Doughboy's lets see what the second
round brings us.

Wellingborough Town 8-2 Boro Alliance
As
the new season kicked off Wellingborough from the start
rail roaded Boro'Alliance as they dominated
the first half.
Wellingborough
produced some excellent football and movement which tore
though the oppositions defence .
Goal's in the first half from Connor Davies ,Tarek Hajri,Lewis
Hayes and Liam Chowney took the home team to the break
7-1 up.
Second half Wellingborough made a few changes where a
few new faces D.Thorndyke and Tanasta play their home
debuts
The game in the second half was not as fast as the first
half with the final score being 8-2 to Wellingborough
.
This was an outstanding performance from the young Doughboy's
and a great start to the new campaign.
