Last game of the season and the lads worked hard for a well deserved draw, but had to wait until the last minute when Lewis scored the equaliser.  Max was outstanding which earned him motm. 

End of season celebrations were had with the giving of trophies to all the lads.

The lads had to come from a goal behind and did so brilliantly.  Joseph Line did really well in goal for the second half.  All the lads passed the ball fantastically and played tremendously which made it difficult to pick a MOM but in the end we decided on Max.

Back to winning ways for the lads. 

Thomas ran the match, which earned him the MOTM and could have got a lot than his two goals in the second half. 

Antony had another great game in goal and all the lads worked really hard and deserved the win.

A really cracking game saw the lads edged out 1-2.  Antony was magnificent in goal and rightly earned MOTM.  A loss was a little hard on the lads and a draw would have been a fair result.  2-0 down, the lads fought back well but just couldn’t find that equaliser.

Volta FC 0-2 Wellingborough Town

The lads started the game well but never really created any scoring chances in the first half.

After an inspirational half time talk the lads decided to give Gerry and myself an early xmas present.

Max out skilled three defenders in their penalty box and just as he was about to let fly with his famous right foot thunder bolts he was clattered to the floor. PENALTY!

Thomas stepped up while Max was nursing the lumps that had been kicked out of him and Cooley thumped the ball top left corner! A pen any pro would be proud of.

As the game went on the lads grew confidence with Antony,Lewis and Joe h all having good efforts at goal. Joe l again outstanding in defence.

Then the man of the match decided it was his week to get on the score sheet.

James who usually plays BRILLIANTLY in goal for us scored a truly excellent poachers goal making it 2-0 sending the 25 strong crowd into hysteria.

The lads passed superbly and deservedly ran out 3-0 winners. 

Thomas scored the goal of the season, starting in his own half and finishing in off the post. 

All the lads were great, but we decided on Joseph Horsman for the motm for sheer hard work and scoring our second

The lads created loads of chances in the first half, but were still level at half time. 

Goals from Lewis and Joe in the second half put us in control but we conceded late on, so nervous moments towards the end. 

Lewis worked really hard and deservedly earned a motm.

Back to winning ways for the lads who did really well in a great game.

Honours even in the first half but Thomas moved into midfield and scored two in the second. 

Joseph Line was brilliant in defence.  Both Thomas and Joseph share a well deserved men of the match

The lads played well first half and went in 1-1, we changed it around in the second half and struggled to make any impact on the game which resulted in only the 2nd defeat of the season. 

James gave a brilliant display in goal, earning him the mom

A tough game with no goals scored in the first half.  Corby got a penalty early in the second half which they missed.  The second half was a nervous affair until we got the second goal. 

Robbie kept his first clean sheet in goal which gained him the mom.

The lads turned up with their pillows and duvets this week and were 1-0 down at half time.  Woke up in the second half and all played much better. 

Joseph Line came on and made some crunching tackles and scored his first goal for the club earning him a mom.

Wellingborough Town Under 7s had a tough game. 

Although Wellingborough Town went two nil up through Max, there were nervous times when the Corby side pulled a goal back and Wellingborough had to defend resolutely.

It was a relief when Antony scored the third to earn Wellingborough a well deserved win.

The lads have got used to playing together now and it showed with a goal feast. 

Max got 4, his second hat-trick for Wellinborough Town, Lewis got 3 and Joe Horsman hit his first 2 for the club and landed a m.o.m for a great display.

A great game for Wellingborough Town with Lewis scoring in both half’s.

Corby Hellenic Fisher were strong, well organised and pushed hard but the lads defended as a team with some great man marking.

Thomas once again was outstanding in defence.

It’s clear the lads are learning fast and becoming a strong team.

Burton Youth Sharks 0-3 Wellingborough Town

Very even 1st half with lots of hard tackles, Max forced the ball over the line for 1-0. 

Swapped the players around at half time and were fortunate to survive without conceding. 

Late on Max and Lewis came back on and Max scored a second to make the game safe.

Wellingborough Town under 7s settled well and were soon in control, amassing a 3-0 lead at half time. 

The team members were swapped around for the 2nd half but still created chances. 

It was a great performance from all of the lads and it was difficult to pick a m.o.m.

The new under 7s played their first game together and started well but found Ise Lodge Kestrals to strong as the game wore on. 

We had our chances and Anthony hit the post in the first half and Lewis won a penalty but unfortunately missed it in the second half.
