10 HALF SEASON REVIEW
Wellingborough Town Under 10s have enjoyed
their best ever start to a season and are really starting
to gel as a team.
We have been fortunate to recruit several new players
this
season Taylor, Zak and Ryan all of whom have fitted in
to the squad very nicely.
All though mini soccer in ‘non competitive’
in that all games are classed as
friendly's it is very encouraging to see the results improving
year on year.

Special
mention to:
Charlie
Who has been immense at the back and my player of the
season
so far. Chipped in with a few goals too.
Joseph for leading the team and working
hard on his
communication.
Ben for working really hard on his passing
and non stop running.
Ijuha for the number of chances he creates
with his unselfish play.
Jack for his goals including three hat tricks, and improving
his work
rate.
Brady for making the opposition strikers
lives a misery with some fantastic marking.
Matthew P for playing in every position
that is asked of him and not complaining once.
Matthew H and Taylor
for their enthusiasm, good attitude in training and trying
hard to improve all areas of their game.
Zak for sticking with us whilst he was
not in the squad, trying hard to improve and finally breaking
into the team.
Ryan for setting up a few goals in the
short time he has been with us and never letting his head
drop.
Great
job boys! I am sure the second half of the season will
be
just as much fun and will prepare us for our first competitive
season next year.

11 HALF SEASON REVIEW
So far this season we have played 11 games to date.
Wellingborough
Town Under 11's enjoyed a great start to the season which
promised a lot. Unfortunately over the past month we have
not done ourselves justice with the performances we have
put in. We need to start the new year on the same note
as we did at the start of the season. Second place in
the league is still a target we can achieve.

RECRUITMENT
The Under 11's are looking for players to add to the squad.
Please contact Phil for more details.
The
Under 10's are looking for players to add to the squad.
Please contact Martin for more details.
The
Under 9's are looking for some adult help to support in
refereeing our home fixtures. No experience is needed
as the idea is to let the game be the teacher.
Please contact Martin for more details.
Training
Base
So that we can get as many age groups as possible training
in the same location, we have been fortunate enough to
secure
the facilities of Sir Christopher Hatton School as a central
training base.
The playing surface at Sir Christopher Hatton is a lot
better than that at Castle Fields and there is a lot less
danger of broken glass, dog mess and all other sorts of
unpleasant things!
Having a single training base also makes it easier for
parents with children of different ages and saves then
having to drop their sons and daughters off to different
locations.
Training will continue to be at the same time as present.
Membership
Card
This season all players will be issued with a membership
card.
If presented at the gate of the Dog & Duck during
a 1st team fixture, reserve team fixture or Under 18 fixture
it will entitle the holder to free entry to the ground.
It is hoped that we will see as many of the Youth Team
players and their families as possible at first team games.
Forthcoming home fixtures include;
Saturday 16th September—Buckingham
Saturday 23rd September—St Neots
Saturday 30th September—Newport Pagnell
For a full list of first team fixtures please visit the
Wellingborough Town web site at
