Wellingborough Town 3 - 1 Hackleton Harrier

Wellingborough beat Hackleton 3-1 with Solomon 2 and Charley S the scorers.

It was a good performance by Wellingborough who passed the ball well and competed in all areas of the pitch.

Wellingborough Town 2 - 5 Weekley Rovers Wizards

Wellingborough Town suffered a 5-2 defeat to a changed weekley side that we easily beat 4-1 last week.

Weekley went 3-0 up in 10 minutes before Wellingborough pulled 2 back to make it 3-2 at this stage the game could have gone either way .

Wellingborough were unlucky to concede a 4th goal when the weekley striker clearly had Billy’s leg in his arms before putting the ball in the net.

Overall it was a good display against some big lads.

Weekley Rovers Wizards 1 - 4 Wellingborough Town

Wellingborough got back to winning ways with a 4-1 victory over Weekley wizards.

The victory was a bonus but more pleasing was the way Wellingborough played with more passing & movement than recent weeks.

Solomon 2,Charley S 1and Alex were Wellingborough scorers.

Wellingborough Town suffered a 2-1 loss to Burton.

Wellingborough scored first with a good goal by Thomas but Burton bounced back with 2 goals.

Wellingborough Town 0 - 6 Weekley Juventus

Wellingborough Town suffered a 6-0 loss to the hands of Weekley Juventus it was a game in which Wellingborough were never in control but battled to the end. Credit must go to Weekley who played some good football.

Corby Kingswood 1 - 5 Wellingborough Town

Wellingborough Town continued with there good start to the new year with a 4-1 victory against Corby Kingswood Kestrels.

Solomon 3 and Charley S 1 were the goal scorers for Wellingborough Town with both teams playing some nice football.

Wellingborough Town 8 - 1 Kettering Blues

Wellingborough Town started there first game of the new year with a 8-1 victory against Kettering Blues.

Goals from Connor 4, Solomon 2 , and Charley S 2 secured the win.

Credit to all the the boy’s who battled away all game and deserved the victory and a special mention to Ryan in goal who pulled off two great saves at vital times in the game.

Wellingborough Town 3 - 1 Burton Blue

Wellingborough Town recorded a second win against Burton Blue with a 3-1 victory.

Burton took a shock lead but Wellingborough rolled up their sleeves and played some good football in bad conditions to pull the game around .

Some good solid defensive & midfield work allowed goals from Charley S, Connor & Solomon to secure the 3-1 victory.

The final few minutes was played in heavy rain with the parents more happy to hear the final whistle than the lads.

Wellingborough Town 2 - 0 Burton Azure

Wellingborough Town got back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory against Burton Azure.

Charley S and Connor were the goal scorers in a scrappy encounter.

A more encouraging aspect of the game for Wellingborough Town was a clean sheet with Ryan in goal again in good form.

Weekley Juventus 3 - 2 Wellingborough Town

Wellingborough Town were very unlucky to lose 3-2 to Weekley Juventus whom remain unbeaten this season.

Some fantastic football from both sides made for a great game. Weekley went 1-0 up but Solomon pulled a goal back for Wellingborough Town before adding a second to make it 2-1 .

Wellingborough Town pushed very hard for the third goal with the Weekley goalkeeper pulling off some fine saves but it was Weekley who scored a great goal to make it 2-2 before scoring a lucky third with the ball squeezing under Ryan into the net.

A draw would have been a fair result but credit to both teams for a entertaining game which was a great advert for the Weetabix U7 league.

Wellingborough Town 1 - 5 Moulton Magpies

Wellingborough Town suffered a 5-1 loss to a good Moulton Magpies team.

The game was 0-0 for 12 minutes with end to end action until Moulton Magpies took the lead direct from a corner.

Wellingborough Town got straight back into the game with a goal from Connor but Moulton Magpies scored right on half time to make it 2-1 .

Both sides made a bright start to the 2nd half before Moulton Magpies made it 3-1.

Credit to Wellingborough Town who didn't let their heads drop and carried on pushing for a goal but 2 quick goals made it a flattering 5-1 victory to Moulton Magpies.

Kingswood Swifts 3 -5 Wellingborough Town

Wellingborough Town suffered a shock defeat at the hands of Kingswood Swifts where their keeper was their best player.

The score did not reflect the game as for long periods Wellingborough Town was in control and the amount of missed chances, good chances hit double figures.

On another day Wellingborough Town would have scored double figures ourselves – but that’s football.

Connor scored his second hat trick of the season. It was a good team performance and not the result they deserved.

Wellingborough Town 12 - 0 Ise Lodge

Wellingborough Town continued with their fine start to the season with a 12-0 victory against Ise Lodge Falcons, Ryan 1, Soloman 5, Thomas 1, Alex 1, Charlie B 1, Connor 1 and Charley S 2 all found the net for Wellingborough Town.

This was a great result for Wellingborough with an encouraging all round performance from the whole team with their passing, movement and tackling.

Hackleton Harriers 6 - 2 Wellingborough Town WELLINGBOROUGH TOWN  U7S STARTED THE SEASON WITH A 6-2 WIN OVER HACKLETON HARRIERS WITH SOLOMON PAUL SCORING 4 GOALS , ALEX WADE 1 AND AN UNFORTUNATE OG. THE TEAM PLAYED WELL CONSIDERING THAT THIS WAS THEIR FIRST GAME AT ANY LEVEL.
