WELLINGBOROUGH TOWN ACHIEVE CHARTER STANDARD – DEVELOPMENT CLUB LEVEL
Wellingborough Town Youth Section is delighted to announce that we have secured FA Charter Standard at Development Club Level.

The FA Charter Standard Scheme is best practice guide that sets standards of coaching, administration and child protection for clubs working with young people. As a benchmark for quality, it will improve the playing experience for all.
Martin Patmore, Secretary of Wellingborough Town Youth Section commented “This is a fantastic achievement for our club and shows the dedication of all of our coaches in getting themselves a Coaching qualification. I would like to thank all of the Coaches and unsung heroes involved behind the scenes with the administration of The Club in helping us to achieve Charter Status.”
Wellingborough Town are the only Club in the area to have achieved the Development Club award which highlights the aspirations of the Club moving forward.
Wellingborough Town Youth Section currently has eight youth teams, Wellingborough Town Youth Section have Six FA Level 1 coaches and plan to provide three coaches with Level 1 training over the next 12 months. Wellingborough Town also have two Level 2 coaches and a Level 2 Goalkeeping Coach.
Plans are already being implemented to work closer with the senior teams and Wellingborough Town also has plans to introduce dedicated girls teams within the next two seasons.
