Photographs from the end of season presentation can be seen here.
Professional 7 X 5 prints presented in a folder (similar to school photographs) are available to purchase at just £5.00 each. All profits will go to the club.
Many thanks to Dennis Randall for giving up his time to take the photo's and process them to an excellent standard.
As proof of the Wellingborough Town Youth Section working, Dennis has seen two of his Grand Children (Adam Randall & Tom Randall) come through the Youth Teams of Wellingborough Town to feature in reserve and first team games this year.
APRIL 2008
END OF SEASON REVIEW
The Wellingborough Town Football Club Youth Section has grown very quickly since we first set up the club in May 2004. We started off with just two teams and have grown to seven in just four seasons. This season has seen many highlights in both Mini Soccer and Boys Football.
Our youngest team, the Under 7’s had a fantastic first season in football and lost only one game. Likewise the Under 8’s had a very successful year losing only two games. The Under 10’s played their final year of mini soccer and have made massive improvements winning three more game than they won last year.
Our Under 11’s enjoyed their first season at 11 A side and finished a respectable fourth place in a very tight lead. The Under 12’s had a mixed season playing some nice football at times even if the results did not always go their way.
Our newly formed Under 13’s were clearly in the wrong league and romped home with the title with four games to play. The lads had a tough season off the field and credit to them for staying together, winning the title and narrowly missing out on a shot at the League Cup Final.
Our Under 15’s have, once again, been quite brilliant at times. First they won the Alan Burgess Cup final against tough opposition. They then secured a League & Cup double with a victory in their last ‘Must Win’ game of the season.
Well done to the Players, Supporters, Coaches and everybody else involved with the teams for making this a very successful season for the club.

Lookout for The Traveling Doughboy at First Team Games!
I am the traveling Doughboy and I love to follow the Doughboys wherever I can.
You can find me at our home, The Dog and Duck, London Road at most of our home games and then follow my tour around the world as I go off to visit new places, make new friends and tell everyone about our great football club...... Wellingborough Town.
I recently bought my hat and scarf as it was cold during the winter and I love them so much, I wear them everywhere I go around Wellingborough and when I visit my friends. I'm not allowed to wear them in bed though, even though I want to! I leave them at the end of my bed.
Why not come down and see if you can find me. I can usually be found in the stand singing with the rest of the crowd as we cheer on the Doughboys.
I look forward to seeing you soon and cheering on the Doughboys with me!

TOTE
TICKETS
Wellingborough
Town is selling 'Tote Tickets' to raise funds for the
club.
The way that it works is as follows; as many tickets as
possible are sold on a weekly basis (£1 per week
/ £40 for the season). Half the money for that week
goes into the prize fund, half goes to the club. If your
tote number gets pulled out of the hat you win the prize
fund for that week. The more tickets that are sold, the
higher the prize fund.
The
Draw takes place at first team home games and I understand
the prize is usually around £50 + per week.
The first draw is this Tuesday 14th August.
Please
support the club by purchasing a Tote Ticket from your
manager or calling Martin Goode on 07768917012.

HELP
URGENTLY
NEEDED
Wellingborough Town is looking to recruit some referees
for our junior games (Under 11 &12) played on a Sunday
morning or afternoon.
Home
teams are required to arrange a referee for their games
as their is a massive shortage at the moment. It is very
difficult to coach and referee at the same time which
is why we are seeking volunteers.
Referees
are paid £10 for the game and many clubs encourage players
from older teams to take up this role. Parents
are also encouraged to volunteer for this vital role.
No
experience is necessary all though you do have to be over
16. Training courses will be provided if needed. Please
contact Martin if
you can help on 07817 017053.
MOULTON

CANCELLED
GAMES
Apologies for the amount of cancelled games recently.
With the weather as it is, if the ball can not roll because
of water on the pitch, the game can not be played due
to safety reasons. This is an FA rule and applies to al
levels of the game. Grammarians (the Dog & Duck and
Whitworths) are particularly vulnerable to flooding due
to the geography of the land.
Sir
Christopher Hatton School (& Eastfield park) have
particularly good drainage which is why training and matches
are seldom cancelled at this venue.
