WELLINGBOROUGH TOWN UNDER 12

SPONSORS

Dear Parents and Players,

As you aware Ian Gordon has decided to leave Wellingborough Town at end of the current season.   Out of respect to Ian and the current under 12’s players I have purposely kept quiet on this subject until the end of the season as I did not want to unsettle anybody.  Ian has been with Wellingborough Town for  four seasons and has seen his teams improve year on year.  Ian is a good friend of mine and I have tried my best to persuade Ian to stay with Wellingborough Town but unfortunately his mind was made up.  I wish Ian every success for the future.

Wellingborough Town Football Club is delighted to be able announce the appointment of Chris Whitmore as Manager of Wellingborough Town Under 13 for season 2010/2011.  Chris will take responsibility for Wellingborough Town Under 13’s from Monday May 10th.  Chris brings with him a wealth of experience holding a FA Level  1 Coaching Certificate, Emergency First Aid and Child Welfare qualifications.  Chris is also a qualified Level 5 Referee.

For those of you that do not know me, I am a UEFA B (Level 3) Coach and I will also be working with the team, and supporting Chris over the next few months to help develop the boys individual and team skills.

Chris will be inviting all existing Wellingborough Town players along to training, as well as inviting additional players along to strengthen the squad.  Existing Wellingborough Town players will be given preference over any new players should they wish to stay with Wellingborough Town.
Wellingborough Town can offer your Son excellent playing and training facilities.  The Under 13's will play their home games at The Dog & Duck stadium and we are hopeful that the lads will eventually progress into Under 18 football with Wellingborough Town Football Club.

I would like to invite you and your Son along to meeting on Monday May 10th from 18:45 in the Sponsors Lounge at Wellingborough Town Football Club.  The meeting will give me the opportunity to our plans for next season, and hopefully reassure you why you should stay with Wellingborough Town.  The meeting will also give you the opportunity to meet Chris and ask any questions that you may have.

If you cannot make the meeting but would like your Son to come along to our training sessions, training will start on Saturday May 24th at Sir Christopher Hatton School from 10:00.

If your Son does decide to join another team then I wish you every success for the future.  The door is open for you to come back and may I take this opportunity to thank you for your support over the past few years.

I look forward to seeing you on May 10th but in the meantime if you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact me on 07817 017053 or martin@wtys.co.uk

Kind regards,
